The Canines
Meet Sammy and Sophia! ๐พโค๏ธ
Sammy is a Chihuahua who was born on January 1, 2023. He originally came into my life as one of my foster pups, but sometimes fostering doesn’t quite go according to plan! On December 5, 2023, Sammy officially became a permanent member of our family—his forever home ended up being right here with us. โค๏ธ
Sophia Chenoa Rose is a Mini Aussie who was born on March 22, 2024. She is a Double (Blue) Merle, and as a result, she is blind in her right eye and 100% deaf. We got Sophia from a friend who had cared for her since she was very small, and she quickly made herself right at home.
Sophia has absolutely NO concept of personal space—and she has zero problems invading yours! ๐ She is sweet, curious, and full of personality. Since she can't hear us, we communicate with her through hand signals. She already knows several, and we'll continue teaching her more as we work together.
We can't wait for all the adventures ahead with these two—from everyday life at home to walks, hikes, exploring, and making plenty of memories along the way. Sammy and Sophia may have very different stories, but they both ended up exactly where they belong. ๐พ๐
Meet SKYLAR! ๐พ๐
Skylar is an Alaskan Klee Kai (aka Alaskan Husky) who was approximately 2 years old when Austin adopted her from Pet Central Helps! in Normal, Illinois, on March 22, 2024. She has since become his Emotional Support Animal (ESA) and a very special part of his life.
Skylar lives with Austin at his apartment, just about six miles from the farm, so thankfully she’s never too far away! โค๏ธ She and Austin make quite the pair, and she has settled perfectly into life as his loyal companion and best friend. ๐๐พ
The Tarantula
Meet DIMPLES! ๐ท๏ธ๐
Dimples is a beautiful Pink-Toed Tarantula who is now 6 years old as of 2026, and I am SO in love with this little girl!
I had wanted a tarantula for YEARS, but hubby always said, “NO!” Apparently, that didn’t work out quite the way he planned. ๐
Joke’s on him, I suppose—because Dimples is here, she’s adorable, and she’s officially part of the family! ๐ท๏ธโค๏ธ
Sometimes it’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission... right? ๐
The Felines
Meet ARCHIE & CHLOE! ๐ฑ๐พ๐
Archie is an 11-year-old Orange Domestic Shorthair (DSH) who was adopted from Pet Central Helps! in Bloomington, Illinois, on September 2, 2022. He is one sassy little fella with plenty of personality and attitude—and we absolutely love him to pieces! ๐งก๐ฑ
Chloe is our 16-year-old Tuxedo Domestic Shorthair and the resident cuddle bug. โค๏ธ We got Chloe from Eastland Animal Hospital in Bloomington, Illinois, and she has definitely perfected the art of snuggling. If you’re settling in for a nap, there’s a pretty good chance Chloe will be right there beside you—or curled up on top of you!
Archie brings the sass, Chloe brings the snuggles, and together they make life around here just a little more entertaining and a whole lot more lovable. ๐พ๐
The Ferrets
Meet MIA & MIAH! ๐พ๐
Mia and Miah were born on March 27, 2022, and are our beautiful, playful Champagne and Cinnamon Ferrets!
Autumn had wanted a ferret for quite a while, and when the time finally came, apparently one just wasn’t enough—she ended up with TWO! ๐โค๏ธ
These two are full of curiosity, mischief, and personality. Whether they’re playing, exploring, or getting themselves into something they probably shouldn’t, Mia and Miah certainly know how to keep everyone entertained!
Double the ferrets means double the mischief, double the fun, and double the love! ๐พ๐
The Birds
Meet BIBI BIRDIE, REN & BIJOU! ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐
BiBi Birdie is a European (Common) Starling who hatched around the beginning of April 2025. Although European Starlings are considered an invasive species in the United States, they can make incredibly intelligent, entertaining, and affectionate companion birds.
BiBi has already started getting his beautiful “stars” and has become quite the little talker! He loves mimicking sounds and has built up his vocabulary to include “BiBi Birdie,” “Good Boy,” “Whatcha Doing?” and, perhaps most importantly, a very enthusiastic “ALEXA!!” ๐โญ๐ฆ There is definitely never a dull—or quiet—moment with BiBi around!
Ren (่ฎ) is our 3-year-old male Pearl Pied Cockatiel and an absolute sweetheart. He can say “Pretty Bird” and “Step Up,” gives kisses, and absolutely LOVES getting his head scratched. ๐

Then there’s Bijou (pronounced bฤ-ZHOO), our Green Cheek Conure who hatched on April 11, 2025. She is a beautiful little girl with a BIG personality—and Ren absolutely LOVES her! ๐ฅฐ

Unfortunately for Bijou, Ren also seems to believe that his purpose in life is to make her mad. ๐ He insists on pestering her, Bijou screams at him, and before long she has put Ren in yet another “time out.” You would think he’d eventually learn his lesson…but apparently annoying Bijou is just too much fun!
Between BiBi yelling “ALEXA!!,” Ren intentionally pushing Bijou’s buttons, and Bijou trying to keep Ren in line, these three bring plenty of chatter, attitude, mischief, and feathered chaos into our family—and we wouldn’t have it any other way! ๐ฆ๐ฆโค๏ธ
The Noodles
Meet GREENBEAN & ORION! ๐๐
Greenbean is a 3-year-old Normal Ball Python. As of September 19, 2024, he weighed 1,147 grams (2 lbs. 8 oz.) and measured approximately 3 feet long. He may be the smaller of the two, but Greenbean is every bit as special and has earned his place among our wonderfully diverse crew of animals!
Orion is a 3-year-old female Enchi Ball Python who belongs to Crystal. As of September 19, 2024, she weighed an impressive 2,200 grams (4 lbs. 14 oz.) and measured approximately 4½ feet long—making her quite a bit bigger than Greenbean!
Whether they’re curled up comfortably, slowly exploring, or simply watching the world around them, Greenbean and Orion bring their own quiet charm to the family. ๐๐

Leopard Gecko
Meet OLIVER! ๐ฆ๐งก
Oliver is our handsome Hypo Tangerine Leopard Gecko, known for his gorgeous warm orange coloring and adorable little gecko personality.
He may be one of the smaller members of our animal family, but Oliver certainly doesn’t get overlooked! Whether he’s exploring his habitat, finding the perfect place to relax, or simply giving us that classic leopard gecko stare, he brings his own special charm to the crew.
Small in size, big in personality, and absolutely adorable—that’s our Oliver! ๐ฆ๐
White's Tree Frogs
Meet KAZOO & HARMONY! ๐ธ๐
Kazoo and Harmony are our White’s Tree Frogs, affectionately known as Dumpy Frogs, and these two definitely have very different personalities!
Kazoo is our male Snowflake White’s Tree Frog and is the sweetheart of the pair. He absolutely loves to cuddle and is perfectly content hanging out with you. ๐ฅฐ๐ธ
Harmony is our female Blue-Eyed White’s Tree Frog, and, well…she shows her affection a little differently. ๐ Apparently, Harmony has decided that EVERY single time I hold her, she needs to pee on me. Every. Single. Time.
I’m convinced she knows exactly what she’s doing.

Between Kazoo’s cuddles and Harmony’s questionable way of showing affection, these two certainly keep things interesting around here—and we love them anyway! ๐๐ธ
Winter White Hamster
Meet SEBASTIAN! ๐น๐
Sebastian is our adorable Winter White Hamster. As of October 2026, he was estimated to be around 1 year and 8 months.
This little guy is an absolute sweetheart! Sebastian enjoys being handled and especially loves getting head scratches. ๐ฅฐ For such a tiny member of the family, he has a whole lot of sweetness and personality packed into that little fluffy body.
Tiny paws, fluffy cheeks, and plenty of love—that’s our Sebastian! ๐นโค๏ธ
