Cherokee Flats Animal Buyer Application Instructions

Thank you for your interest in purchasing from Cherokee Flats! We are dedicated to ensuring that every rabbit, cavy, and fancy rat is placed in a safe, knowledgeable, and compatible home.

Please read the following instructions carefully before completing and submitting your application:

1. Review All Policies First

   Before filling out this questionnaire, please review our Species Rules, Biosecurity Guidelines, and Payment/Cancellation Terms. All sales are contingent upon agreement to these terms.

2. Mandatory Rules to Keep in Mind

   • No Shipping: All animals must be picked up in person at the farm (or via pre-coordinated ground transport for rabbits and cavies).

   • Rabbits: We do not sell rabbits to households with existing pet rabbits, and pet homes are limited to one (1) rabbit.

   • Cavies & Rats: Must be purchased in same-sex pairs or groups of two (2) or more—no exceptions.

   • Waitlist & Fees: Reservation fees hold your place on the waitlist, are non-refundable, and do not apply toward the final purchase price.

   • Pickup Appointments: All visits are by confirmed appointment only. Late arrivals, cancellations under 24 hours, and no-shows are subject to mandatory fees.

3. Fill Out All Fields Accurately

   Complete every section of the form truthfully. Incomplete applications will not be processed. Note: Falsifying or misrepresenting information on this form gives Cherokee Flats the legal right to decline the sale or repossess the animal(s).

4. Next Steps After Submission

   • We review all applications within 2 business days.

   • If approved, you will receive an email confirmation with instructions on waitlist placement or next steps for reserving an available animal.

   • Notifications regarding available animals require a response and reservation fee submission within two (2) hours.
